Sliced Chair
inspired by Kokoon Chair (by Karim Rashid)
Sliced Chair is made of clear acrylic.
It was cut in one piece by the laser cutter.
Then, bent with a hot gun and a 3d printed mold.
The best location and widths of joints of back
and legs were optimized by numerous tries.
If the joints are too narrow, they could not support
the weight of back but else the chair geometry
did not look good with thick joints.
This blueprint is the best looking scale and
able to support the weight itself.
